Crazy? I was Crazy Once.

Well, I don't know about y'all, but I definitely have my moments of feeling a wee bit mentally unstable.
Whether it be because of PMS, people, or my brain in general, I have had many-a-moments when I question my own sanity. To help put my little noggin back into perspective though, I watch movies about crazier people than me to remind myself that I am, in fact, not actually too crazy.

So for your own moments of doubt here are a list of movies for your viewing pleasure to remind yourself that you're "normal" too.

10. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Ahhh, the movie that brought us Hannible the Cannible. Storyline of a young FBI agent, Clarice, using the help of a cannibalistic psychiatrist to catch the killer of women, Buffalo Bill.

Your uterus may be at war with itself, BUT at least you're not making skin suits and dancing to "Goodbye Horses" in your basement.

^Not you. Way to go!

9. Black Swan (2010)

Poor, poor little Nina. Wanting to be the swan queen of Swan Lake, but just too much of a perfectionist to conquer the role of the evil sister. #firstworldproblems. At least up until the point where her life spirals out-of-control and she actually goes crazy in achieving the Black Swan role.

Take Home Message:
So you may not have just gotten the best grade on a test and are perhaps doubting your academic career, BUT at least you don't think you're turning into a giant black bird.

^ You should try to avoid that look. Not pretty.
and unlike Natalie Portman, you're not going to win an
Oscar for your breakdown.

8. Girl, Interrupted (1999)

Actually based off the true story of Susanna Kaysen and her 18-month stay in a mental institution in the 60's.

You might have just run up to your room and started to rock yourself back and forth because the internet shut down, BUT at least you know that after messing around with the router or using someone else's wifi will fix the problem.

7. Psycho (1960)

Norman Bates. Mommy issues doesn't even begin to cover it.

Take Home Message:
Some people rub you the wrong way, BUT at least you don't dress up like your mother and...you know....stab people.

^that's not even a flattering outfit.
That wouldn't look good on anyone.

6. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)

Nurse Ratched.
That's all
Take Home Message:
Nurse Ratched is not in your life. Your life doesn't suck that bad.

5. Fight Club (1999)

Ummmmm....as a rule...not really supposed to talk about this.....

Take Home Message:
You might hate your life right now, BUT at least there aren't two of you running around causing you to beat yourself up.

4. Twilight (2008)

We all know what this is about.
18-year-old girl starts having a very unhealthy relationship with a 104-year-old 'vampire' that teaches young girls that they can't survive without a man.

Take Home Message:
1. You may be single, BUT you are a strong, independent black woman and you don't need a man.
2. You're not Kristen Stewart. So that should brighten your mood a little.

^ no one wants that reaction.

3. Shutter Island(2010)

Detective is sent to a mental institution on an island in aid to finding a missing patient. While there he discovers that he may be the 'missing' patient.

Take Home Message:
You may be having a bad day, BUT at least you're not being trapped on an island awaiting for a lobotomy.
With no Oscar still.

2. Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

Bipolar man comes home from stint in mental institution. Man meets woman with her own mental issues. Fall in love.

Take Home Message:
HEY! You might actually be "crazy!" BUT you could totes still end up with someone as gorgeous as Bradley Cooper or Jennifer Lawrence.

1. Disney Princesses
Talk about issues. Where do I even begin.
 Pocahontas: Social Anxiety Disorder
Ariel: Disposophobia(Hoarding)
Belle: Stockhold Syndrom

I mean, the list could just go on with these broads.

Take Home Message:
Once again, you may very well be 'crazy', or at least just have some minor issues. BUT if they can have their fairytale ending, so can you.
